I'll support John's comment with a brief(yea, right) description. Remember when you removed your wheels(if you have ever done it yourself) from the car, how they sort of "stuck" to the hub? See, the lugnuts do "attempt" to center your wheel, but they really just hold the wheel on. These cars are designed where the wheel should actually center itself on your hub by means of the wheel's center bore. It should be an exact fit. You should be able to hold the wheel flush to the hub, with no lug nuts, and NOT be able to move it up or down on the hub flange. If this isnt obtained, the lug nuts will mount the wheel off-center, and you will basically have an eliptical rotation. The wheel actually spins like it is off center. Multiply that by the amount of revolutions at speed, and you get a vibration. If your aftermarket wheel's center bore does not match-fit the hub flange on your car, it will vibrate when you drive. This is a common mistake people make when they order aftermarket wheels. Call Tire Rack.. give them the wheel model number (stamped on the inside of one of the spokes) and tell them you need hub-centric rings for your Mark VIII. They should stock something. When you get the rings, have the tires re-balanced with the rings ON THE WHEEL.Very important. Also, use a slight amount of anti-seize on the hub when you reinstall. -Black Ice
