First of all, stop shouting (turn off caps lock). The console is a little tricky to remove, but not too bad. I'm not sure on the exact procedure off the top of my head, but you will need to remove the trim around the radio, and remove two bolts that are in the console storage box.
If all you want to do is hook up your radar detector, another option, which might be easier, and will definitely look better, is to get some speaker wire of a slightly thicker gauge than the one on the radar detector, cut the detectors cord (make sure you know which wire is positive!!!) attach the connector for the detector to the speaker wire. Attach the radar detector high up on the windshield (mine is hanging so i can just see it below the rearview mirror), and run the wire up into the headliner and along the edge of the windshild, just tucking it in as you go. You may have to remove the plastic on teh a-pillar or the weatherstripping on the door to get route it down the a-pillar. Then find an acceptable fuse in the fuse panel that's right there on the drivers side, that is only on when the ignition is on. Pull the fuse and use a test light or multimeter to determine which side is still hot (with the ignition on and the fuse pulled). Stick the positive wire in the opposite side (the not hot side, that way it is fused), and connect the negative wire to ground. There is a little bolt under that access panel that you can loosen and wrap the wire around for a ground. That's how my fuzzbuster is hooked up, it works great and looks clean.
