what happened to www.speadfreak.cc? that guy had some amazing stuff, including a mark VIII, also sold headers specifically for them, a little pricey, ($650) BUT well worth it, the flanges were nice and thick, so as not to warp after a few years, cause lets face it, thats a job i would only want to do ONCE, don't know bout the rest of u..... lol. any other suggestions for a direct fit set of headers?

I think supercoupeperformance.com sells them. they are actually made by kooks. I've got a set. they were also $650.

Not the same... the speedfreak.cc ones referred to were long tubes iirc, Kooks are mid length. Been a long time since the speedfreak ones were available though.

hmmm... Dan... you can maybe hunt him down on AIM at MarkVIIIDaddy I think he's still on from time to time. He could probably point you in the right direction of where to get other ones that would work.

Not enough people wanted them. I went with kooks as they had reasonable deliveries and the units themselvles were well made and fit with no issues. I remember Dan had a few issues with his, but I beleive they got resolved. Mid length also allows you to get tranny out without removing headers, and the coating job was superb.

Is it worth it to spend the extra $190 on the jet-coated Kooks? Does this coating help them last longer or is it mainly for performance gains?

I can't remember who it was I talked to, but it sounded like they were done with the Mark VIII stuff. I got the last cat-back they had.

i could care less bought cat back stuff, lol, i just want a set of headers, the rest i'm custom fabbing, just debatin on some different designs/ setups i have seen... plus, with headers, i omit that god awful integral manifold/catilytic converter.... 2 high-flow cats, X pipe ( Xover cat, followed by x pipe, depending how strict my exhaust guy is gonna be) either way, they will be highflow, so concerns are of a minimum, and i may be scrapin the headers all together, as i may need custom ones made up, cause i am CONSIDERING a twin turbo setup, i know, i know, " kenne bell blower, $3600", but come on,..... TWIN TURBOS!!!! u know it makes you H _ _ _ _ (fill in the blank) and if u say it doesn't, ur only lyeing to yourself!

Kenne Bell Blower for $3600?? You gotta be dreamin !! You're still going to want the headers.
