"Part Numbers for Transmission bits and pieces"

Hey all!

If I'm breaking a rule by posting a question feel free to delete this, but I am researching the accumulator upgrade, and have read several tech articles on multiple sites, and the best I have come up with is the part numbers for the 1-2 accumulator.

If it wouldnt be too much trouble, I would love to get the part #'s for the 2-3 as well, as the springs for the 2-3, and anything else you feel I should be grabbing while I do this. Its for a 93', and I will be doing full tranny fluid and both accumulators. Normally I wouldn't ask for part #'s before I buy from a dealer, but I've had terrible experiences with dealers incompetency and especially through Ford. TIA

Regards, Kyle.

Kyle, first off, forget the dealer.
Use
www.fastpartsnetwork.com

Torrie McPhail is a vendor that supplies our members with factory parts for discounted rates.

Here's the part number for your 2-3 shift accumulator piston

F7AZ-7H292-AA, which has been superseded with
F7AZ-7H292-AB

The stock spring in the 2-3 can be removed. If you want a new updated 2-3 spring, Torrie will have that part number for you.

I got the part numbers from
http://www.tccoa.com/articles/tranny/transmission/page12.shtml

Jerry's pretty much the authority on these transmissions.

I would also consider replacing your stock flat tranny pan with a 96+ transmission pan with the dimple, and matching filter with snout part numbers are listed on the page 12 link from tccoa.com that I listed above.

Thank you very much for the informative swift reply! Exactly what I was looking for and more. I'll be ordering my suspension overhaul this weekend so now that I have this info, will definitely order the transmission gear too.

I was looking for an online vendor so I wouldn't have to support the stealer-ship. Thanks a bunch fellow brethren! Perfect!
