"1998 Mark VIII LSC"

Finally found what I was looking for. I am the proud new owner of this 1998 LSC with just over 105,000 miles. Paid $3300 for it. It does need a little bit of work though. The problems include the driver power seat and the rear neon. I asked the seller over the phone if the neon worked and he said he would check and get back to me. He called me back and said it works. When I got there and checked it out, it didn't work. I didn't bother arguing over it. Did he do something I didn't? Here's a pic for you guys to see...

Welcome Aboard!

Looks great in the picture. 1998 is a good year to get because it already has the '98 transmission upgrades. The price is about right too, compared to what they sell for around here (FL) anyway.

Fixing the neon and the driver's seat are both things you can do yourself if you are mechanically inclined. Use the Search function on this site; it will be your best friend! Most any Mark VIII problem you may have has already been discussed and solved right here!

Not to nit pick, but the first thing you need to do is put the wheels back to the correct side of the car. Your chrome 10 spokes are directional wheels, and they are on the wrong side as shown in your picture. It really won't hurt anything, but a Mark VIII purist (like me) will point that out every time!

Please post more pictures of your new baby when you get a chance!

Hey thanks for pointing that out. I had no idea the wheels were on the wrong sides! The driver side mirror was also fogged up, but I cleaned it up yesterday. I realize I don't have auto dimming anymore, but I will get a light shade of tint and tint behind the clear glass in front of the mirror. Will post more pictures soon. I also forgot to mention that the power mirrors don't work, and neither does the seat memory function. I know that because there's no light on the button. The speaker on the driver door sounds very low. I opened up the door panel to check all the connections and they were fine. Fuses are good too. Any idea where I should start troubleshooting. Yes I am mechanically inclined.

Here are a couple of new shots after correcting the wheels (thanks to te1966). Haven't had a chance to clean the interior yet so I'll take interior pictures later. The body is in very good shape as you can see.
