"Small World"
Thu Nov-03-11 08:58 PM by BlackIceLSC

got a PM from Lead Foot that of all places, he was just in MY TOWN last week!

he met a friend of mine whom I have spoken about often, in the past- Joe...my engine builder/friend-a guy who was ALL Chevy....until he drove my old 94 Mark VIII.
He fell in love.
He ended up buying a 93 Tommy had purchased cheap, and it was all over-Joe was hooked.(I've posted vid links in the exhaust forum of Joe's exhaust set up in the past)

anyway, FFWD to the present:
Joe used to work for Tommy, but now he works for Denbeste Motorsports
http://denbestemotorsports.com/
..a company that also builds/sell Shelby Cobras made to order. Joe is their engine guru. He's building all-aluminum 700+ hp pump-gas 427's (Guy Fieri from Diners Drive-ins and Dives bought one)

http://denbestemotorsports.com/gallery/open_house_2010/index.html

and is in a very happy place-which is also less than 1/4 mile from my house. Joe is their MAIN engine guy...no pun intended...the kid is a martial arts instructor/expert, and knows how to make serious power. The pump-gas small block he built for me was only supposed to run(according to the so-called experts) 12.20's in the 1/4 mile, but we've had it go 11.27@ 118 mph in the right conditions.

a sample of their "inventory"

so ANYWAY...Lead Foot shows up at Denbeste, sees Joe's 93 out back and starts asking about it. he then asks if Joe has ever heard of me(Black Ice LSC)...Joe says "yep"...

small world, aint it?
I've had the ABSOLUTE pleasure of meeting many members of this site in person, and consider most of them folks my friends...would have been nice to add another name to that list...but neither one of us knew the other was "here" when Lead Foot was in town.

hey Lead...send me a PM next time you're rolling through...we'll hook up, even if I sold out years ago!

It is indeed a small world. You never know who is just around the corner or down the street.
Neat story.

I wish I'd have known you lived so close by where I was, Craig.
If I do get back in your area, I'll sure let you know, it would be great to meet you..
