Bill;
I saw your seats and they look great. Steve Bryant notes that your new electric controls are on the front of the seat (facing the pedal assembly) so I guess that the whole Lincoln factory power seat frame had to be replaced with a new one. Was Robert Kessing's fabrication company able to save the position feedback sensors so that your seat position preset buttons still work?

WOW, those look great, I always thought these seats need more lateral support. It looks like those Ricaros are the answer, and they match up nicely with the look of the interior. How much did those cost after all was done?

Actually Mike, they modified and used the original seat brackets/frame and power motors. The only thing that's not powered is the "recline" but there is a large round knob on each side of the seat to rotate to recline the seats. Also the "auto glide" does not work which was scary to my back seat passengers and crunched a few unsuspecting riders. I don’t know if the memory buttons work anymore since I never used it either. How’s the handling experiment coming along? Do we have any shock/strut options other than the Lincoln dealer
And Mat, to say Recaro seats are not cheap would be and understatement. The seats starts at about $350 each for cloth seats and skyrocket up from there depending on what materials and power controls you want. Mine are full leather and were special ordered to match my interior. My cost was about $730-ish per seat and another $175 each to be reengineered and installed. Expensive? Yes, but they are comfortable and don’t look out of place in my car

Bill:
The shock/strut thing is still in the courtship phase. I am still calling people at Air Ride Technologies and reintroducing myself, "hi, remember me, I'm the psycho who wants to put performance shocks in a Lincoln". Time will tell.
