"New Personal Bests!"

This weekend was good for setting new bests for the Lincoln. Set a new RWHP, ET, and MPH best. The latest dyno numbers from Friday evening are 391.6 rwhp and 337.5 rwtq on a nice safe tune. I'll post the dyno sheet later once I get a chance to scan it in.

Took the car to the track on Sunday. If I knew how to drive or how to do a proper burnout, I think I could of had a much better ET, but that's alright. I'm quite happy with the mph. The ET will come after some practice. It's only the second time I've had the car to the track in the past 2 years.

"knock-knock"

"WHO'S THERE?"

"12's"

"COME ON IN!"

nice times Thomas...great MPH...awesome passes.
that 13.008...wow...coulda been....coulda been.

if you head out again soon....stage as SLOOOOOOWLY as you can...try to get the bottom stage bulb to flicker so that you are as shallow in the stage beams as possible.

this will give you a lower ET all things considered. That's because your car will actually have a slight forward roll before the front tire releases the ET start clock...it's what the pro's do during qualifying, to get that "lowest possible ET"...it's murder on your reaction times, but during time runs/testing...who cares?

12 second passes aren't on the horizon...they're in your front pocket!

think about it. a 12 second 3800 lb car that is also a daily driver is a phenomenal thing to have...especially getting 25-ish MPG, huh?

Yeah, I think the car has a 12.6 in it with some traction. There were a couple times I was getting sideways on the 1-2 shift. If I get a chance, I'd like to take it to KCIR in November and run in the nice cool air at the lower altitude. If I can get it to hook up there, it should be well into the 12's. Oh well, had a fun time regardless.

You need some traction and you'll be DEEP in the 12's. With those trap speeds, I'm gonna say some where in the 12.2x range.

Way To Go, Thomas!!!!!!!!

I agree with junkman, you definately need some traction to get your ET's to catch up with your MPH. Your 60' times are not all that bad for a heavy car, but you're probably at least partially spinning the tires all through 1st gear and when you hit 2nd.

My old '69 Olds 442 bracket racer ran as low as 11.97 with trap speeds only at 110 - 111.

Your 112 best should get you low low 12's with some hook!
