I KNOW MY 93 MARK VIII HAS A CUSTOM PAINT JOB, THE PREVIOUS
OWNER TOLD ME SO. THE DOOR JAM SAYS BA2 IT'S A PEARLESCENT
WHITE. I CAN'T FIND A MATCH, CAN I GET SOME HELP.

If it's a custom paint color, there's no way we could possibly know what that exact color formula is

perhaps the guy you bought it from can help?

many here have tried "paintscratch.com" for help matching their factory color....but you said yours is custom.

asking us to help you find a color match is no different than asking 11930 blind people to help(no picture, etc)

Furthermore, BA2 is not the "color code" it is the BODY type
look closer....this is what you should be looking for:


use the image below as a guide:




ABOVE the solid black line at the bottom of the tag it says
"EXT PNT __(two digit code)"

that 2 digit code that follows EXT PNT is your color code.

Find a good automotive paint supplier/retailer and they should have a special camera that sets against the paint and takes a picture. Then it formulates a paint "recipe" that will come very close to your color, but I don't think it tells what color it is though!
