"Driver side door wont open from inside"

1997 LSC

I cant open my driver's door from the inside. I have to roll down my window and open it from the outside.

I took the door panel off to check out what was wrong but couldn't figure it out since i can only see a small part of the mechanics of the lock. The lock still works perfectly and opens fine.
When the door is locked and I pull on the interior door handle the door unlocks (pops up) but it wont open.

Can anyone help/diagnose.....

Please disregard this post, I have re-posted under Interior section with a more accurate description of the issue.
