Any experience on which speedo gear would be correct after replacing the rear gears with 4.10s? I had done this to a '91 Mark VII and used the red 21 tooth gear, but had a 5 mph speed reading error at 50 mph, which got worse at higher speeds. Also, read the FMS catalog and it said that you could not replace this gear on RWD automatics? This did not make sense to me.

You have to use what is called a speedometer correction unit, which is a cable connected to a gearbox which then connects to your speedo gear this corrects your mph within law enforcement calibrated specs. This is the only way to get the exact mph with 4.10's & a 4r70w combo. This is what i use on the blue mark on our site.Ive been using this item on every 4.10 equipped mark that comes through our door's for two years now with no leaks or problems. We have these in stock & ready to ship. Please feel free to give me a call in reference to this @ 1 856 456 3605 9 to 7 pm est.
