Just looking for a bit of information or input from you guys. I owned an mk8 but sold it because of some issues it was having. and now planning to buy it back.
So. here it is. its a 95 markVii NOT the lsc i was told when i bought it that the intake was changed, Dont know if it was stock replacement or not.
So i bought it and drove it for 4 hours before i had any problems. while at a stop light the CEL came on and it started to try and die, but didnt. the light went green and slowly gave it some gas, and it bogged down then drove normal for a block and started jurking like someone was hitting the brakes and gas over and over.
I cleaned the Mass air sensor, no change but it failed the test when i used a multi meter so i bought a new one. ran great for about 15 mins
Sorry i should also add while driving it with this problem for 2 months on ocasion not every day. you can see a fair amount of black on the bumper from the exhaust probably running rich or lean right?
also brought it to the dealer forgot to mention as well and MAF came up ya, but nothing else.
After i sold it the guy looked into it for a few months and only came up with the intake manifold gasket, or manifold cracked or warped is all he could think of.
Does this sound right to you guys or do you jhave a better idea? Thanks alot.

I would start my new venture with a mark with a dealer manual. Trust me, you'll need it. I got one and it's invaluable, plus if you get the one for 1994 fords like I did, you can use it on ANY ford product that year. Did you CLEAR your codes after you installed the maf?
