"what transmission should I use"

So no one seems to know why my transmission is acting up so I guess it is time to replace it.

Question 1
What model of automatic transmission is the best to use in a 1993?

Question 2
What models of automatic transmission are the easiest/least amount of modding to almost bolt in exact besides the original of coarse?

Question 3
If I would want to put in a manual is there a manual that will fit with the same driveshaft?

Looking for exact model names if possible or the type of vehicle that usually has that particular transmission

New tranny will need a repin.

There is no drop in manual conversion, but one of our members does do them.

Sorry let me clarify and rephrase

I assumed I could use the same transmission that is already in it because wikipedia tells me that the 4r70w is what all mark viiis use but there are variations on later models that make it better

I was wanting to know if I could use something like the 4r75w or is that too far different or is the 4r70w better anyway, or does the manual tremec t-45 or t-56 offer something better that would make me want to switch to a manual even though it may require a lot more modification and if so is there less modification required for the t-45 vs the t-56

so I guess i'm looking for a little more detail on peoples opinions than what the first 3 pages of various searches where the first link or two might be within the last three years and then every other post seems to be from 6 to 11 years old where certain ford transmissions weren't even made yet

oh and I already saw templeperformancecars I am assuming they arent going to help me unless i'm purchasing through them/having them do the work which I prefer that I be the only one to touch my cars.
