"Strange interior color combinations"

My best friend has a '93 with a tan interior, and the strip that runs across the dash & door panels is brown. Until then, I had no idea that the strip was ever offered in any color except black.

I just bought a '95, which also has a tan interior. The strip is dark reddish brown, and so is the top of the dash.

Does anyone have any info on those weird color schemes, and how many combinations were offered? Both cars are almost completely loaded, so I'm guessing it was an option of some sort.

As far as I know the dash/door stripe came in two colors. Black unless you had a black interior in which the came in grey.

I've got a 93 with the mocha interior and brown trim. Bought it from the original owner so it's stock.

That post is an excellent reference..thanks!

My friend's '93 is light prarie tan+brown. My '95 is saddle+chocolate, which I REALLY like. Very elegant, and nothing like the typical beige color you see in most cars.

My last Mark was a '93 with the aquamarine interior. I liked its extraordinary uniqueness. However, I can see why there wouldn't be a whole lot of demand for that particular color. :p

Based on the sale's literature I have his interior is Mocha... slightly different shade from the light prairie tan too if one of the trim pieces I bought off eBay is an indication.
