"air ride"

Hi
I am 2nd owner of 93 mark8 fla car luv it, rear bags had been replaced by orignal owner(car was very well maintained always serviced by lincoln)
Today i parked on a slope and it seems like the rear is pumped up.
First thing i noticed was fuel tank was reading incorrectly(showing a bit more than half it was full when i parked)only drove 60 mile prior to parking, averaging 26mpg
My question is will the car level off after a few hours? Are there any steps i shoud take to help it along?
Thank you in advance, Lenny

Lenny

The car settled down and everything is back to normal I guess I was overly concerned.
