"New Wheels"

I bought my Mk8 back in Feb and really did not like the snowflakes on it.
About a month after I bought it I found some afer market rims and put those on,they was better than the snow flakes but not really what I wanted for ever.I prefer factory wheels that look like they belong with the car.
So today I bought some 20 spokes off Craigs list. Had to go up to the Twin Cities and get them.
Heres some pics of all three. Which ones look best?

I had to give $100 for the 20 spokes today.
Some day I might actually take some pics outside.

IMHO - Tricoat white pearl just screams for chrome, so I would look for a chrome replacment wheel such as the 20 spokes you just got. But, I personally dont care for 20 spokes on a Gen II.

I like the Chrome 20 Spokes best of the 3 you showed.

The Snowflakes are rather Blah and very hard to clean.

The Chrome 20 Spokes are only slightly easier to clean though.

The aftermarket wheels show too much caliper and rotor, would have to keep those detailed as well.

If you want to sell the aftermarket wheels, I could be interested. Actually, they're not what I'm really wanting either... but my Snowflakes are really looking old, chrome is flaking off, etc. So it might be worth a shot.

I put those on craigs list Sunday and they are already gone for 200
If anybody wants the snow flakes they can have those if they had a way to come get them. The snow flakes are not very good shape but they are free.

I like the 20 Spokes also. I was driving my 95 with Snow Flakes a few years ago and spotted a nice 95 in a driveway with new Cobra rims. I stoped and talked to the owner for a while and we checked out each others cars. I asked about his old rims and he said they were in the back yard and I could have them if I wanted! They looked pretty bad with completely bald tires. I cleaned them up good, put new tires on and ran into him again a few months later. They looked so good he said "what did you do to them!"

Those look great:)
I might be without a mk8 soon.
One of my kids needs a car and we are not having much luck finding him something with under 200000 miles and reliable for what he can aford,so my mk 8 only has 120000 and I've done everything it needed to make sure its in really good shape.
Its just been an extra car for me and I'll only loose about 1000 if I put him in it.
Thats what dads are for isnt it

Heresy! Haha, my parents refused to get me anything. They let me use their cars (permission had to be asked) until I could save up and buy my own. I was jealous of my friends whose parents bought them all manner of cars, from junkers through new off the lot luxury.

Now though, I don't regret my situation at all. I had to LEARN to fix my own problems, because I couldn't always afford the shop costs. Issues of safety were always checked by my Dad, and he often helped me out. Now I am blessed to have a nicely maintained Mark VIII which I enjoy working on. I also have an S10 which serves as my utility vehicle - perhaps a transplant patient for a 383 stroker come summer.

I bought the S10 for $200 and spent about 3 weeks doing odds and ends to get it through emissions/safety. For under $500 I have something to show for it.

I'm now nearly done my graduate degree, so I won't have to drive fixer uppers much longer, but I'm not sure that I'm in any hurry to spend new car prices either!

Just something to consider...

Ps to the OP. the 20 spokes look good. Solid choice in my opinion. The aftermarket wheels that I think do best on the Mark are the 5 spoke Saleen's that are frequently seen around these parts. I'd like some for my Gen 2!
