"I have an intermittent squeak in the front left wheel when driving at highway speeds"

It sounds like someone is killing a very unhappy mouse in the left front wheel somewhere. This will come and go, and driving feel is completely unaffected.

Any ideas or trouble shooting tips are welcome and appreciated.

>i have the same thing going on in the rear...

I was told that this is most likely brake pad squeak, getting the disk surfaced could fix this, but I was told not to worry about it, and that it may take care of itself.

On a side note, I was having a different issue with the back, which turned out to be a bolt that holds the wheel on almost ready to come out. This could have caused a terrible accident. ALWAYS GET ALL NOISES CHECKED BY A MECHANIC. Many places do free brake inspections. It cost me only a 20 dollar tip to get the bolt tightened, that could have killed me and others. NO EXAGGERATION HERE. Also always visually check mechanics work yourself, these cars are older and very complex and were ahead of their time in their time, and now cars have gone back to simpler less complex vehicles. It is rare to find someone who knows about these cars in the mechanic world. The free brake check exposed this non brake related problem.

Always turn off the switch in the trunk before jacking or getting your Mark VIII on a lift. Supervise this being done yourself whenever possible. It is a good rule to leave the trunk open when you can to remind yourself to flip the switch back on when the car has landed back on earth on all fours.
