"Any Nice 17x9 Wheels"

Im a mustang guy (have a Stroked n ProCharged 94 GT)

I like look 17x8/10.5s on my Mustang n few years ago
had SuperCoupes with Mustang wheels on it (hub swap)
n I loved how they lookin on my SC as we all know the
MK8 is the same PITA 5x4.25 ..

I cant find any 17x9s. Plus I Really dont like the 17"
enought to buy (rather buy used) so are there any decent
Mustang/Cobra/Saleen lookin wheels out there?

I know SuperCoupePerformance.com has Cobra Rs that bolt
right on, but like I said would rather buy used..

Are Wheel Adapters (4.25 to 4.5) strong and safe
enought for everyday (125 miles a day) driving??

These wheels would be for my DD, that I will prolly only
have for a few months so I dont wanna $$$ Much..

I love Mustangs and my first ride was a '68 white with a black vinyl roof and a black c stripe. But that said this is a site for Marks not Stangs. Sort of like the difference between having a Playmate as a girlfriend vs Sophia Loren or Catherine Zeta Jones. These are two very different types!
I would doubt the foundation garments of the Playmate would fit the Movie star

I do not recommend the wheel adapters. Having a significant amount of experience with this type of thing, they suck. Not to mention potentially dangerous. People buy them so they can have something they want, but that is not right for their car/truck. It's a shortcut. You wouldn't put a straw house on your roof because its cheaper and easier and expect it to work like an actual roof. Spend the time and money and get the right wheels. Saving a few bucks is not worth wrecking your car and possibly hurting yourself or others. If you do go with adapters, TORQUE THE HELL OUT OF THEM!!! (Where they meet the hub not on your wheel.) 300 ft/lbs at least.

If you don't wanna do a hub swap, buy what fits. Besides that, the first issue is finding used wheels anyways, probably not an easy task especially 5-4.25. If you can find them in 5-4.5 then you make the decision to do adapters, buy new wheels in 5-4.25. Find some wheels first and go from there.
