"Cobra "R" style cowl induction hood...."

I am not sure what the rules are here so I am not going to step on anyone's toes.

I do want to say that I wanted a hood for my own car, but find that these hoods are expensive... down right more than I can afford.

I contacted a company that is in PA and they make the hoods for Super Coupe Performance.

The owner has been nice enough to make arrangements with me so I can offer a group purchase.

The details of this are actually on SCCOA.com, TCCOA.com and also MAMN12.com

This is an approved purchase on those sites, and I only really need one more for a total of 5 buyers.

The company themselves is handling receipt of payment so no one hase to give me a thing.

I would like to make the offer to anyone who wants a bolt on fiberglass cobra r style cowl induction hood (finished top and bottom), we are getting a discount on all hoods, plus no crate or shipping fees either. Well, the GP is only convenient for those living in MD, VA, DE, or PA becasue we are making arrangements to pick the hoods up and split the cost of gas. The hoods would need to be picked up by you in Balimore.

If anyone would like to gain info. on this please feel free to contact me at mercury267@juno.com or call me at 443-864-9144

I hope this is not a bad post, if this post breaks your laws on this site I am truly sorry, and I would like to talk to the Pres. of the club and give you any info. you need to asure that this is a safe GP, and your members are protected.

Thank you all for your time,

Would these be for Gen1 Cars or Gen2? Are the the same design as the the Cobra hood that was made for the TCCoA GP? Thanks.

I am going to reply to all of you in this post:

Here is some additional info:

We need 5 buyers, but this is not limited to 5 buyers.

The hoods are made by "Fiber Concepts" located in Hatsboro, PA.

Here are the prices and years of availibility:

84 to 88 Mark VII Cowl induction hood (not cobra R style, not finished on underside.
GP price is $325.00 (NO tax outside of PA, NO crate fees if direct pick up or receipt in Baltimore, MD, and NO freight under same pick up/ receipt previously described).

93 to 96 Mark VIII Cobra R style cowl induction hood, finieshed both sides.
GP price is $525.00(NO tax outside of PA, NO crate fees if direct pick up or receipt in Baltimore, MD, and NO freight under same pick up/ receipt previously described).

Also for 93 to 96 is a Cobra R style RAM AIR cowl hood finished both sides.
GP price is $675.00 (NO tax outside of PA, NO crate fees if direct pick up or receipt in Baltimore, MD, and NO freight under same pick up/ receipt previously described).

What Rob (Fiber Concepts owner) is doing is a $75.00 reduction of the price of these hoods for a minimum order of hoods.

This is decent, but the additional savings comes from him offering to meet me half way so I can pick up the hoods and local buyers (local to me) can split the gas with me... so in theory you'd kick put a 20.00 instead of paying crate and freight fees.

All in all this is providing an approx. savings of around $200.00 for the cost of each hood... but this is why this GP is only offered to local MD, or directly surrounding people.

It really doesn't offer any benefit above $75.00 if the hood needs to be shipped. If I have enough buyers, I may be able to get him to waive the crate fee ($40.00) for a buyer who feels it's good enough, but wants to pay the shipping because they are to far from PA or MD.

I don't know if this is the same hood offered in any TCCOA previous GP, but I am a TCCOA member.

If I can answer anyone's questions please call me at 443-864-9144

If you want to speak to Rob at Fiber Concepts, his number is:

215-674-8990 and his email address is fiberpartsconcepts@aol.com

I think this answers everyone's questions.

Please contact me directly if you need additional info., or have any concerns.

Thank you,
~Mercy Jantz

I have the Fiber Concept Catalog in PDF format. I can email it to anyone who wants to take a look at these hoods.

I'm parting out a '95 Mark VIII LSC, but overall do not know much about what years are what generation and so forth.

I have already received the 5 total buyers it takes to place our order and we will be placing our order soon. However, the GP on these hoods is not actually over UNTIL March 2nd, 2006.

So, if nayone wants to get in on this but still has questions they need answered please contact me directly at one of the following:

443-864-9144 or

mercury267@juno.com

I will share with you all of the information. You can contact Fiber Concepts if you need to. You will have until March 2nd to make your payment to Fiber Concepts and receive your hood.

I am located in Baltimore, MD (Baltimore County/ Catonsville area). Unless you would like to pick your hood up directly in Hatboro, PA you would need to pick it up in Baltimore... unless you are on the way back, in which case I will bring it to you and drop it off.

Thanks guys,
~Mercy Jantz
