"Reinhart chip"

I recently picked up a chip from Dennis and thought I would share my experience. I ordered the chip on a Monday and received it Wednesday morning. I was happy to see that it came with detailed instructions as well as a scrubbing pad and alcohol. I cleaned the connector thoroughly with the provided tools per the instructions and installed it without a hitch. I noticed the difference immediately. It pulls much harder and has a crisper shift. It took a while to get my foot out of it to notice the improved gas mileage, but it was there. Although the quality of the chip was acceptable, his customer service was not. When I look for a company that I would like to build a relationship with and continue to give them my business, I look for two qualities, good products and good customer service. I did not find both of these qualities with Reinhart Automotive.

I don't get it. Maybe if you had received in on Tuesday you'd be happy?

I believe he may be talking about the person to person experience. It sounds like he is happy recieving the product in a timely manner.

I've done business with Dennis, and I must admit he can be abrupt and impatient on the phone, but I imagine he gets more phone calls than most of us can even dream.

So I expect in his case it is easy to get impatient and short especially when the last 6 calls were about the same issue!

I wanted to get an opinnion from everyone about the difference between a Reinhart and LMS chip a few days ago and when I checked for the results of my post it was gone. I didn't mean to start a riot about customer service I just wanted advise to help me with my purchase.

That thread was removed by the moderators, as it degenerated into something which provided little or no substantive answers to your original question.

Additionally, it's bad form to discuss a competitor's product in a forum for this supporting vendor.

I would recommend using the search function, the issue has been beat to death. Make a list of what you want, call your vendor and see if they can promise and deliver what programming changes you want.

First place this type of critique, if you want to call this that, belongs in the product Vendor review, which is what it is designed for. Try calling any one else and see if you can get a chip in two days, you wont, Now I answer about a 100 phone calls a day every day, I am sorry if I seemed rushed I am, so I try to spend as much time as I can with each customer, I almost asuredly have two on hold, so your upset because I am very direct and to the point, I am also very good, it that short time with you I got all your modifications to your car and your credit card information and full address. I gave you the best chip sold in the USA. I also offer the same day refund, so if the service is to poor for you, send the chip back for a full refund. Its very easy to misinterpret someone on the phone, I have thousands of happy customers, I try with every one, now you have had your say, I have had mine lets let this go.

IMHO
Dennis is top notch!

In my dealings with Dennis, he's always been accomodating and helpful.

When I spoke to Dennis at FUN Ford Weekend in Dallas/Ennis, he was polite and helpful and a pleasure to speak with.

but at FFW he didn't have 2 customers "ON HOLD"...he had MUCH WORSE!

He HAD LIKE 40 Maurader owners ALL trying to "get a peice of Dennis"!
Yet still he "took time to talk with Tiffany and I"

Ne NEVER made us feel like "he was too busy" to answer our questions.

He was kind, soft spoken and very nice.

He had no "ego" to contend with, he didn't speak "down" to us, he didn't make us feel like "we didn't know what we were talking about".

His Customer Service AFTER THE SALE is second to NONE!

Thanks again Dennis! It was great to "pick your brain" and to personally lay eyes on the "blue beast".

Hello Dennis,
Thanks for your quick reply to me (you replied to my e-mail address)about getting work done. I have a question. In your opinion would it be better to install a custom chip from you or use the X-Calibrater II? I would gather that using a flash tool gives one much more access and customization, is that the only or main benefit? I have a '97 stock LSc and the chip change/or flash will be the first step in making mods. I figure in total to invest about $2500.00 - $3000.00 between now and Thanksgiving, so in which stages would you suggest things be done on that budget? I apologize for replying to you on this thread (someone's disgruntled complaint) but I happened to be on the website here and decided to ask my question. With all the work you do, and all the GREAT things I have read about you, I know you are a busineesman and customer relations are important, but I'd ignore people like this. you can reply to me at mag1119@hotmail.com.

Mark
